Absolute Beginner Ballet
Absolute Beginner Ballet is designed for students with little to no previous ballet experience who are looking to develop a strong foundation in ballet. Students will be introduced to basic ballet positions, vocabulary, alignment, and movement mechanics while building strength, flexibility, coordination, stamina, and musicality. Classes will include introductory barre and center exercises at an accessible pace, with an emphasis on developing confidence and body awareness. This class is ideal for students with 0–2 years of ballet experience.
What to Wear:
We recommend comfortable, form-fitting athletic apparel that allows for a full range of motion. Hair should be secured away from the face, and we ask that you avoid wearing dangling jewelry. Ballet shoes are required for all ballet classes.

Do not bring guests who are not attending class.
Parents or guardians of minors attending class may drop off or wait in the lobby.
Locker rooms are not available. Arrive dressed for class and bring only a small bag for your belongings. Items should be stored in the designated cubbies outside the studios.
Avoid bringing valuables to class, as School of Philadelphia Ballet is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
